Despite the name, this was never used as a burial ground by the fallen Skjöldur herd. It was used more as a dumping ground for equines who were passing into the void, and for this reason hundreds of fragments of bleached bones can still be found scattered across the red soil. At one point, each skeleton remained whole, but warriors from the Isidar herd destroyed the skeletons during the Battle over a hundred years ago. No plants grow here, and it is rarely entered, except by those with morbid interests.
A large, rough circle marked by odd rock formations, the land here is a deeper red than anywhere else in the plains - the colour of freshly fallen blood. It is here that the weather-worn skull of a fallen Antenus can be found - monstrous in size, and standing almost as tall as a full-grown Infernus. Many believe that demons placed the skull here in an effort to ward off those who would wander deeper into the plains, and discover secrets of the New World that are not meant to be discovered. An odd marking can also be found carved into the back of the skull - the shape of a human hand, with three long bars above the middle finger.
This is said to be the place where the New World joins with the Whole world, a cavern of darkness so immense that it is impossible to see even a metre into the cave. Worn into the side of a particularly ugly rock formation, the Dragon Eye, as it's name roughly translates to, is a place of mystery and horror. No animals or plants live within a radius of 1000 metres of this cave, for demons and ghosts are said to use it to travel between realms. It is considered sacrilege to go here by both resident herds, and for this reason the contents of the cavern are unknown.
